Hi,

I would like to contribute to GCC for GSoC 2026. I am a C/C++ systems
programming student at 42 (1337 School, Morocco) with two years of
hands-on experience focused on low-level programming, memory
management, concurrency, and performance.

At 42, I built a Unix shell from scratch and implemented multithreaded
projects, which strengthened my understanding of processes,
synchronization, and system behavior. I am genuinely passionate about
C and C++, and I am especially interested in compilers, optimization,
and how high-level code is transformed into efficient machine
instructions. Studying GCC’s architecture and contributing to it would
be a major learning opportunity for me.

I would appreciate guidance on:
Which GCC-related projects may be available for GSoC 2026 ?
What would be a good first contribution to start learning the codebase ?
Any recommended documentation or areas to study before contributing ?

I am available 35–40 hours per week during the summer and ready to
begin with a small task to demonstrate commitment and progress.

Thank you for your time.

Best regards,
