My 2GHz Yonah with 2MB cache and 2GB RAM holds its own against other dual core/CPU machines I have when doing gcc build/check, although its harddrive is slow. With a faster drive, it may be one of the fatest 32bit dual core/CPU machines for gcc build/check. It is also very quiet. H.J.
