That's very odd, could this be an EOL issue ? Do you have \n or \r\n
line endings for the 'build' file ?

I don't think so.  Feel free to empty the body of the check_dependencies
procedure in build so we can rule this out.

Good, the entries I added was based on the experience what I had to
install on top of a standard Ubuntu Desktop Edition 7.10 system.
