I have a better answer for this; this actually refers to the native
headers.  You'll want to install xorg-x11-devel.

I'm now using the compiler Alan built.  Most stuff seems to be ok, but
I'm chasing a few niggles.  And yes, things are a bit slower than under
Linux.
