Firstly, may I thank John for fixing the problem I had with gcc on the
Iyonix.
Secondly, maybe I am a bit out of touch with this group (and I do not do
much s/w development any more) but I had thought that the ARM gcc had
been faster than the Acorn/Norcroft version for a number of years now,
but when I ran the Dhrystone test on my Iyonix I got in the region of
774600 (for 10000000 iterations) for gcc 4.1.1 (with -O3) and 856898 for
Norcroft.
