I've rebuild the compiler (version r4631) and tried again, and
unfortunately, nothing has changed. I'm still having the same
problem. :-(
Can you send me a vala source file that shows the problem?
There are some dependencies and so on, so I do not have a single
file. I probably could have stripped it down, but as I started with
that I thought you were probably just interested in reproducing the
problem. A minimal testcase would not be of much help, I suppose.
Let me know if you disagree. I'll try to make a minimal testcase
then.
So I enclose my !Vala directory and some vala-source that shows the
problem. Run the TaskObey file to show the problem.
My local version of the gcc compiler has some modifications by John
Tytgat so that an illegal instruction is encountered instead of the
Stack corruption error, in order to get a stacktrace.
Thanks for your offer to look at this!
I've just committed a fix for this that allows the source you sent me to
compile with vala. You'll have to rebuild the compiler from scratch to
get the patch applied. You'll also have to recompile vala.
Let me know how it goes,
Lee.
