I would think new #defines for socket types and a new structure for the address type, and getaddrinfo() being updated to support IPv6? I have not looked at the new IP stack as I don't have a system to run it on (RPCEmu only here), but if it uses broadly the same SWI interface then this should already be pretty protocol-agnostic.
