Sunveer, You did need to complete at least enough tasks such that you were in the top-10 across everyone participating with a given organization to be considered, but there isn’t a set quantity that would ensure winning or being a finalist. Beyond making the top-10, overall quality is what matters most. I don’t know if it’s ever happened, but that technically means someone could complete the MOST tasks but not be selected as a winner or a finalist. For example, someone that completed 50 tasks really hastily, poorly, doing the bare minimum to get a mentor to pass the task, would probably not be ranked well against 9 other people who completed 25 tasks of outstanding superior quality and value. That person would have made the top-10, would have completed the most tasks, but the 2 winners and 3 finalists would likely be selected among the other top students that focused on quality over quantity. Note that I’m not at all suggesting your work was not superior or of outstanding quality and value. I don’t know your specific situation. If you’d like to know if you at least made it into the top-10 or for details more specific to your situation, I suggest contacting the organization you worked with (directly) as they may be able to provide detail.
