Hi Shubham,

I'd like to put in a good word for OSGeo, a new Code-in organization this year - but we have been participating in the Google Summer of Code since 2007. We are a vibrant community all about Open Source software related to making maps (as in geographical maps). We also hold a fun conference each year named FOSS4G, which is now one of the top mapping conferences in the world (I helped found it!!). Please consider our organization, and share this message with your peers. http://osgeo.org (see the many software projects listed in the right panel of that page) and an intro page for students in the Code-in: https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Google_Code_In_2017_Recommendations_for_Students

Thanks!

(stephanie: I hope answering here as an Org is acceptable. And thanks for your efforts!!)

You will need to decide what organization(s) look interesting to you. that will be the best organziation for you- the one you find doing the most interesting work based on your interests.

- Google Code-in, our contest introducing 13-17 year old pre-university students to open source development, begins Tuesday, November 28th. Please visit the contest site at g.co/gci <http://g.co/gci> for more information.
