I did some tests of gcl <-> xmaxima interaction
from xmaxima point of view. Normally xmaxima reads
maxima output line by line using tcl command
[read ]. And it works - xmaxima is able to read
maxima prompt, multi-line output of ? log etc.
But as soon as very first Maxima command like "x;"
is entered next [read ] returns "exiting on eof".
After this maxima process still exists but as zombie.
It is clear that some error occurs on maxima side
which renders maxima (gcl) defunct. I'm not
certain what is the way to debug the problem
from maxima side?
