In fact, the strange behaviour of configure vanished, but the other problems remained (‘IM_FIX_BASE’ and ‘IM_FIX_LIM’ undeclared; Undefined symbols '__mcount', '_dyld_stub_binding_helper' in raw_pre_gcl).Did you make clean and retry, or erase the source and start again? I've had problems with make clean leaving old object files (built with the previous configure options).
I started with a fresh copy of the source tree from cvs, so there should be no problem.
I'll retry to build after a cvs update. Thanks nevertheless for your suggestions. Lorenzo
