   First of, your patches are most welcome.  This is the right place
to submit contributions.  While I feel confident about some of your
patches, I would prefer Camm to sign off on them.  Camm appears to be
extremely busy these days.

Most of us have been using the CVS version of the 2.6.8 branch (also
known as 2.6.8pre).  I'm not sure 2.7.0 is ready for release.
