An OpenAxiom build with the gcl-2.6.8 fails in its early stages :-( Since the failure does not produce any message (except absence of image image, I can't say much.) We use compiler::link to augment the base GCL with our own C functions that we need, to produce a new GCL image that we use to build the rest of the system.
