This command hides the overviews but if I have understood it right it does
not make the file any smaller. And user would also select only 3 bands out
of 4. Gdaladdo -clean command may be good when experimenting with different
gdaladdo settings but if size matters it is better to rewrite the file with
gdal_translate. It might be good to mention the behaviour somewhere in the
documentation:
-clean:
(available from GDAL 1.7.0) remove all overviews. Fast but does not make
files smaller because image data it not rewritten.
