Yes, Thank you Even, I was missing the GDAL_DATA environmental variable. Now I get the same gdalinfo output. Do I need to set this variable while using the C++ classes you suggested before: GetGeoTransform and GetProjectionRef()..? Because, there also I had the same problem.
