Thanks! :) And yes, I would certainly agree, gitbrowser has no "active" Git operations supported. All it does is make the set of files tracked by Git navigable in Geany, and provide a (quite polished, imnsho) quick-open dialog for rapidly opening documents belonging to a repository.
