Actually most of these feature the plugin offers but you need to find
how to activate it...(yes, it's not obvious, see below).

In the Tools menu, you should have an item "Spell Check" with a sub
menu listing the available dictionaries. Choosing one of the
dictionaries will start spell checking.
There are a few options in the plugin preferences dialog like whether
to show errors also in the messages window (at the bottom) or not.
Errors are always displayed as red squiggly underlines in the editor
widget.
You can also enable 'check as you type' in the preferences dialog.
Additionally, the plugin offers some keybindings for some actions. To
configure them, open Geany's preferences dialog, switch to the
Keybindings tab and find the Spell Check keybindings at the bottom of
the list.

No need to sorry, the usability of the Spell Check plugin actually is
not good and I should rework it.
