Issue 768: Detect and (maybe with prompt) remove corrupt databases
http://code.google.com/p/gears/issues/detail?id=768

New issue report by [EMAIL PROTECTED]:
We occasionally get reports of users having trouble with some offline
application suddenly ceasing to work. Deleting their profile and starting
over fixes things, which points to database corruption. In general, we
likely can't prevent databases from being corrupt, but perhaps we can be
better about giving some options to users in such cases.

- Can we detect when a database is broken?
- Can we prompt the user or silently fix/delete such a database?
