Hmm... Perhaps this is related to the long-time problem I've been seeing in
Ubuntu
with Google Gears? However, I'm pretty sure I don't have anything called
Prism
installed on that machine. How can I figure out what webpage or program has
created
the Google Gears problem on my machine?
Most of my comments (and comments from a bunch of other people) on the
recurring
problem are in Issue 977, which was an old thread a month ago... I guess
that implies
this thread 704 is much older--and Google either doesn't care, is
incompetent to fix
the problem, or has just gone evil.
I sure hope some paid advertisers are getting screwed by the problems.
Maybe that
will get Google's attention?
