Yup, the same problem here.
Tried fixing
C:\Program Files\Google\Google Gears\Firefox\install.rdf
C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Google Gears\Firefox\components\stub.js
(replaced 3.5 with 3.6), still not working. Either the version number is
not 3.6
(something like 3.6rc) or Gears will need somtehing more than a simple
version check
patch.
