I dug into this and found that Firefox 3.6 deliberately breaks the "xpcom"
mechanism
for a different "np" mechanism (I'm a bit foggy on the details).
So it definitely won't work on Firefox 3.6 until Google rewrites Gears to
use this
new interface. :(
