I'm on Firefox 3.6.12 (portable from portable apps) and Gears 0.5.36.0 and appear to have had no problems. I bcc everything to a separate account and don't appear to have anything missing...
Although every so often I get an error code (12?) where it sends it, but the draft is still shown when online. I also have the undo labs option turned on.
Advantages of portable version: a) Can encrypt the whole lot including my email b) I only have one folder to search for lost data!
