What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Acesse the link http://gears.google.com/#
2. After click in button "Install Gears for linux" redirect to
http://gears.google.com/terms.html
3. After accept terms, I redirect to
http://gears.google.com/download.html?statcb=1 e try install add-on
http://dl.google.com/gears/current/gears-linux-opt.xpi.
4. After completed download, the mozilla firefox display this message:
["Google Gears" could not be installed because it is incompatible with
the build type of your Firefox (Linux_x86-gcc3). Please contact the author
of the item about the problem.]
Original messagem in Brazilian Portuguese:
[O “Google Gears” não pôde ser instalado porque é incompatível com o
tipo de compilação do seu Firefox (Linux_x86-gcc3). Por favor, contate o
autor do item a respeito do problema.]
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Is expected install firefox add-on/plugin.

I using Mozilla Firefox 3.6.11 in GNU/LINUX Ubuntu 10.04 LTS - Lucid
Lynx.
The version of Gears is the current release site.
