Hi,
A couple of things you can try -

1) make sure that you are hosting the latest copy of gears_init.js.  Get it
from this URL - http://code.google.com/apis/gears/gears_init.js
2) JavaScript support on WinMo 6 is somewhat unpredictable, so make sure
that there are no JavaScript errors from your added code.
