Hi, I am just starting and having trouble making the Hello World demo applications work.
I am using the Chrome browser and have read that by default I thus have Gears installed. When I try the Database Demo, the error is: "Could not create database:" The Pick Files button has no response onclick. The ResourceStore: "Could not create local server:" Any suggestions? My Chrome thinks it is up to date etc.. Gears is on my add/remove programs list (I have XP) so seems to be installed. Do I need to have a web server (version of Apache?) installed on my computer for the demos to work? That doesn't seem right. Thanks for any suggestions.
