These files are created when Gears detects that the SQLite database
has gotten corrupted. We have not been able to isolate what causes
this, so we move the files to the side so the app can at least
continue to function.

What OS does this occur on? Is it a laptop? We have a theory that it
happens more frequently on OS X laptops when they lose power.
