Hi :) I have the following error when I tried to install Google Gears from an administrator account:
"Gears Installer Google Update installation failed with error 0x800b0100" 1) Configuration: Windows XP SP3 Firefox 3.0.4 All updated and no parasites (virus,spyware and so on) 2) I have checked the online help for Gears: http://code.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=70998&topic=11691 Every items (with 1 exception) was checked and rechecked and I have the same error. Even with no firewall ... :-\ 3) The only thing remaining seems to be: "You’re on an authenticated proxy server that isn't supported" ... Hmmm... I'm connecting to Internet via an UNsecured WiFi connexion (no WEP, No WAP) as a workstation in an Internet Connection Sharing installation (I'm not the owner of this network...) Is this may be the source of this installation error? Did somebody of you have a hint for me? I hope so! Thank you for your attention. :) -- Claude
