I've been reading up on Gears for the last couple of days and in looking at this group as well as the BlobWebAPI proposal doc it seems that there is some interest in being able to initialize/create Blobs from something other than a URL -- are there any plans for this? Specifically what I'd find useful: give it a binary stream passed from something created client-side but controlled by the app. I am working with Silverlight and have the need to take data I've already processed from the original server request into something else (in this case a proprietary data format into PNGs). I can save these in SL's isolated storage avoiding a roundtrip, but if I have a need to do something with them outside of the SL sandbox, I need to transfer them to a different form of local storage. I thought that Gears LocalServer storage might just do the trick, and have confirmed with a modified version of the ResourceStore demo (using desktop.openFiles) that once I have the image in LocalServer storage for my site I can reference it as an img src. The trick is: how do I get it there?
