I have a AT&T tilt (HTC Tyn II) running windows mobile 6.1.

Although I can get the geolocation to work via cell towers I cannot
get it to use the GPS. I am using IE.

I set the gearsLocationProviderUrls to null as recommended, then
brought up a chartplotter application (Active Captain) to ensure that
the internal GPS has a position. I then browsed to my page and now I
just get a getting location message with no error and no location.

The chart plotter application is set to the GPS intermediate driver.
When I used com 4 for the chart plotter application, the GPS worked
but would crash the OS a few minutes after the screen went blank

In the external GPS application on WM6.1 there is no way to set the
GPS intermediate driver as the means for external programs to connect
to the GPs. I have tried com 4 and None. Both don't work. So although
the GPS has a fix and the web page has gearsLocationProviderUrls set
to null, it appears that gears can't connect to the GPS and doesn't
throw an error.

When I try Google Maps and select using the GPS, I get amazing
accuracy. Within 10-20 feet.

Any idea how I can get gears to use the internal GPS?
