Hi all,

I'm currently running Google Gears (0.5.8.0) via Google Chrome
(1.0.154.48) on a Windows XP (SP 3) machine.

I need to change the location that Gears stores its cached data.
According to Google's documentation, the data storage location is:

C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Google
\Chrome\User Data\Default\Plugin Data\Google Gears

I understand that Chrome treats Gears just like any other plugin, and
stores the data accordingly.

In the absence of a UI for changing this setting, is there any way to
change this location--via a registry hack or similar--so that Chrome
stores Gears data in a different location for a particular
installation?

Cheers,

Ally
