We've been working on a web application using Gears to capture GPS
data on work orders, and haven't had any trouble with the devices
we've tried it on until today; a new Samsung i970 (Windows Mobile 6.1)

It didn't return a value to our app, so I went to the Geolocation
demo. It's failed 99% percent of the time (one success, but
unfortunately not repeatable). Gears is installed properly, and asks
permission to use location services on the website. However, the call
errors out (after some time) either with a 'failed to get fix' or
'failed to connect to GPS' message. We tried changing COM settings on
the GPS, but nothing helped. 'Getting location' remains until the
device goes to sleep, or the error condition is returned.

We've tried downloading the Google Maps application onto the device,
and it quickly got a fix and seems to have no trouble finding
satellites, so this failure on Gears is very confusing. Same issue
occurs in both Opera beta and Internet Explorer mobile.

Are there any thoughts on anything else we can try? It appears that
Gears is working, that the GPS is working, and the browser is working,
but just not together....
