I opted to receive a new email for each new post. This is not a good
option, because if you do that on a larger group, you can end with
1000+ emails per day. I am using "Abridged Email (No more than 1 email
per day)
Get a summary of new activity each day" option. And yes, the group
is spammed by creating new spam topics that will end as new emails for
those with option set to receive an email for each new topic.
To change the option, click on "Edit my membership" on the right of
this window.
