FWIW, I'm getting extremely slow functionality as well.
When committing my offline data set (around 7kb, <500 records) it take the gears engine ~62 seconds to insert all the records. This causes the browser to throw the "Running Script has Stopped" exception and generally destroy the functionality of the application. What exactly is going on here? Thanks!
