Gears is a javascript library provided by Google. HTML 5 structured
storage is a proposal to add structured storage to the HTML 5
specification where it would be implemented by browser vendors
(Mozilla, Apple, Google, Opera, etc). In my opinion, Gears will/
should be replaced by HTML 5 structured storage, the question is when
and can you wait that long. Safari 4 is to my knowledge the only
current implementor of HTML 5 structured store.
