I installed Gears for Safari on a computer running Safari 3 and then upgraded to Safari 4, and e.g. offline Gmail continued to work. On another computer I upgraded to Safari 4 before installing Gears for Safari, and then found out that Gears for Safari officially only supports Safari >=3.1.1,<4.0. I haven't been able to find any recent announcements or other information about Gears for Safari 4 FINAL (not Beta) on the FAQ[1], Blog[2], or this mailing list. Could a Gears for Safari developer or product manager please let us Safari 4 users know whether official Safari 4 support is coming soon, and whether there is an unofficial way we can get Gears to work in Safari 4 in the meantime?
