[gears-users] Gears 0.5.30 is out, but installation page always tries to install 0.5.29

I just installed Firefox 3.5.1 and want to get Gears running on my
Ubuntu 8.04 Linux Box. I read about the release of Gears version
0.5.30, but whenever I try to install gears the installer tries to
download and install the old and unusable 0.5.29 version. It cannot be
the cache or history because I am using a fresh Firefox profile. Arent
Firefox extensions meant to be platform independant ?
