Petrus--we are not "early adopters"!  Linux users have been running a
64-bit operating system for over 6 years!  Imagine if Google didn't
support any Windows newer than XP...

Now it has been over 2 years since the original patch enabling 64-bit
support was released.  It is absolutely ridiculous that there is still
no 64-bit version of Google Gears available.  Anyone who is running a
32-bit operating system on a 64-bit processor is an idiot!  What's
really a shame is that this is supposedly an "open source" project,
yet it seems Google isn't interested in accepting contributions from
the community, even if it enables millions more users to use their
software!  Such a shame...
