I try to use the Google public API (GeolocationAPI: http://code.google.com/p/gears/wiki/GeolocationAPI ) to get the user location. In this API document (Cell-Id data elements), I think that it should support both WCDMA (GSM/UMTS) and CDMA systems. However, I encounter some problems in CDMA and would like to seek for your assistance to clarify whether this API does support CDMA systems or not.
Take at&t GSM for example, the API will return the reasonable location with the input MCC, MNC, LAC, CID.However, when I try to use CDMA sector as the input(MCC/SID/NID/BID), this API will not return a reasonable location or return error. Can anybody give some advice? Thanks! Sincerely, Shaun
