I ran into the problem of the message "Page does not have permission" but when I tried to solve it as per the instructions using the Google Gears Support page I could not follow the instructions. In Safari there is no 'Tools' tab to select. When I opened the drop down under 'Safari' and clicked on 'Google Gears Settings' there were no denied sites and mail.google.com was allowed. Yet the prompt was that the Page does not have permission. I am perplexed and wonder if I have not understood where to look up this issue.
