I'm new to Google Gears, and count me impressed. However, I was having a hard time getting an application to work offline, even though an earlier version had worked fine. It took me a while to stumble on the solution, but it appears that the local server matches the case of incoming URLs as well. Once I matched the case of the URL in the browser to that in the manifest, I could take it offline.
I'm wondering if that case-sensitivity is really necessary, and if so, whether the help files and FAQs could be updated to include that requirement. Thanks, Karl
