Okay I recently got a new MacBook Pro with Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard preinstalled and managed to install Google Gears for Mozilla Firefox on the MacBook Pro (along with Google Toolbar fine) but won't install Gears for Safari 4 (I have a Mac Mini running Mac OS 10.4.11 Tiger I'm planning to update also to Snow Leopard soon running Safari 4 -- installed Google Gears for Safari 3 on it before updating from Safari 3 to Safari 4 and still seems to work with Safari 4 since it was already installed but trying to install Gears with Safari 4 won't work) hopefully Google reads these boards -- do you hear what we're asking for Google -- we want Safari 4 compatibility for Google Gears and better compatibility with your products for Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard (by the way last I checked Google Desktop for Mac is incompatible with Snow Leopard) if there are any problems with Snow Leopard and Google Gears (haven't noticed any specifically aside from the browser issue) Google you need to address these issues asap.
If you were unaware of the bugs hopefully you'll be aware now and start working on fixing the problems. We need Gears to be Safari 4 compatible. This is an urgent request by Safari 4 users who want Google Gears (Google Gears worked with Safari 3 now you have to update to make it work with Safari 4) Lastly, this is not so urgent but would be nice for the Windows using Safari users (have used Safari 4 with Windows myself a few times) if you could make Google Gears compatible with Safari 4 on Mac as well as Windows. Bringing Gears compatibility to Safari 4 on Mac is urgent, the Windows compatibility between Gears and Safari is not that urgent (given it works with Mozilla Firefox across Mac/Windows/Linux etc and with IE for Windows but adding Gears for Safari 4 on Windows would also be nice.
