It seems that the Google Gears Japanese installer is not working in Firefox. When I go here:
http://gears.google.com/intl/ja/ and then click the blue button on the right to install it, it downloads the following file: GoogleInstaller_ja.application When I try to run this file, I get the following error message: "Cannot download the application. The application is missing required files. Contact application vendor for assistance."
