I've filed a couple of new bugs related to the slicing of large blobs
on Mac OS X.

Although both of my cases were initially found on Snow Leopard (which
I know is not supported), I've been told that they also apply to
Leopard, which I believe _is_ supported. Both cases work correctly on
Gears on Windows XP, with both Firefox 3.5 and IE 8.

I think it's quite likely that these are both manifestations of the
same underlying problem, so fixing one may well fix the other.

At the moment, this is holding up the deployment of a cross-platform
big-file-upload system, which is looking likely to have to ship as
Windows-only in the short term. Given that there are only very limited
options for how to code a big file uploader, I suspect that this same
bug may also hit any other Gears-based large file uploaders using blob
slicing.
