I am working as developer in a company with a Web application wich is
build in .NET.
this Web application is used in hotels for room services, Maintenance,
Maids for cleaning of rooms,
by using PDA with Windows Mobile.
the customers says they have problems with network conection, the PDA
loses network connections.
They requires this application with offline functionality.
I am responsible to do investigation around this issue.
I have found that Google Gears is a way to use web application to run
offline.
My question is followings:
1- can i use the Google gears for to use my web application on PDA
with Windows mobile?
2- what need i do to use the Google Gear in this issue?
3- If I can use the Google Gears for implementing of offline
functionality, what should i do?,
4- how I can adapt and change my web application to use the Google
Gear?
5- the web application used a Sql database to store and receive data
from it, should i create a local data base in
PDA (or mobile) ?
6- how the user can synchronise the local database with the real
databse, when Offline chanes to the Onlien?
7- should i create a Synchronisation engine module? or there is one in
the Google Gears?
8- how much time requires to implement the whole offline
functionality?
9- is any other program or tools to use in this matter?
