I had to install the package "gobject-introspection-devel" to get this
to build correctly.
I can't seem to connect to the wiki at the moment, but will update that
page when i can.

Ryan! I believe that would point to missing GIRs. It sounds like
vala doesn't know they are. Make sure gir-repository is installed.
If it is, someone can correct me, but I think you can put the
/usr/lib/girrepository directory in the XDG_DATA_DIRS if valac still
isn't finding the files.
