<< I was told the other day that a few more geckos were added to the
Rhacodactylus genus?Does anyone know if this is true or not?>>
Bauer added the members of the Australian Pseudothecadactylus to the
Rhacodactylus. This would most likely explain the rumor you've tuned in
to. Bauer's act of combining the two genera was not accepted by the
majority of other gecko taxonomists, hence the present acceptance of both
as an individual genus remains in the community. At the moment no further
members of Rhacodactylus are known - but there are belief and renewed
efforts to find possible new forms and species.
