Hi. I'm wondering if all red lights are created equal. I'm using a GE
House/Garden outdoor lighting 85w floodlight Colored Par 38 (metal
reflector) to heat a 10 gallon tank for my baby leopard gecko. I've seen
references to 60w red bulbs (normal bulbs) and I wonder if they're any
darker and any better for simulating nighttime. I previously had no light
going at night.

I just moved her into the 10 gal. and started the red light, and she's off
her feed, and I don't know if she's coming out while I'm sleeping. I would
really like to know if she's experiencing nighttime when there is no other
light source or whether the light is too bright.

Thanks for any suggestions.
