Hi y'all!

My baby Leopard has been having eating problems. Seems like she doesn't go
after crickets like she used to. She isn't eating much, but she polished
off 4 mealworms last night. This has only been happening since she moved
from a glass-covered wine crate to a 10 gal. aquarium heated by a 75w
incandescent bulb in a reflector fixture during the day and an ancient resin
heat pad with a piece of slate on it at night.

I see Roxy every night lying on the rock on the heat pad, at the end where
the light is during the day. Apparently the tank is too cold at night. I
should measure the temperature on top of that rock.

I'd like to hear any suggestions. She's not getting sick, but this is not a
good situation.

I'd like to put in a ceramic heating element (any ideas what wattage for 88
degrees to 78 degrees in a 10 gallon tank?) plugged into a thermostat with a
probe, but these things will cost me over $50. Well, looking at it on paper
it's worth it and I'll just have to do it. Unfortunately, I just have
littlle enough money that I have to count evey buck.

I taped computer paper on 3 sides of the tank when I first set it up, and I
put glass over the top and a towel over that that hangs down on the sides.
Just doesn't seem to be enough.
