But everyone knows you can't compare apples and oranges!

Which apple?  Which orange?  Northern Spy apples have 10 times the
vitamin C of Macintoshes.  I'm sure there's plenty of variation in
orange cultivars too.  VItamin C content also depends on growing
conditions, storage, ripeness, etc.  Also, all else being equal, a 
big apple/orange has more vitamin C than a small one. ;-)
