To be quite honest, the girls who've laid eggs the last few weeks haven't been
near a male since last spring. They stopped laying eggs in the summer, and all 5
of them started up again in late November and December. Since I hadn't provided
a chance for Robert to join them in a sleep over party, I can only assume they
used stored sperm. They get room light only, so they do have a change in
photoperiod, and the heaters are turned off for 6 hours overnight, leaving them
at room temperature of around 72°F during that time. They weren't prodded into
laying, they decided that on their own I guess.

Does anyone know how long leos can retain sperm? I've heard guesses up to two
years.
